| Mt. Gambier in S.E corner of South Australia is the remains of a now-extinct volcano. A city has sprung up mainly around the northern side. Attractions in the district include Mt. Gambier itself (especially inside the ctrater!), Limestone caves, sink holes, only about 20Km from the coast, pine plantations, and to the north is an extensive wine-producing area. |
